Excitement and anxiety filled the air around Benin, the capital city of Edo state on Wednesday, October 19, hours to the final coronation of the new oba, the city’s traditional ruler.
Major streets were also lined with posters, banners and billboards congratulating the new monarch.
Eheneden takes over as the Bini tradition stipulates, following the passing away of his father, Oba Erediauwa.
