Teenager, 20-Year-Old Boy Nabbed For Anal Sex in Lagos

One Ebere Nwankwo, a cleaner and Mr Job Martins, a house keeper were caught allegedly engaged in anal sex. The duo were charged before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on
 Thursday. Nwankow, 16 and Martins, 20, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and unlawful sexual intercourse.

The accused reside at Goshen Estate, Ikate and Aboki Estate both in Lekki respectively. The prosecutor Sgt. Ajaga Agboko told the court that the accused committed the offences sometime in August at Aboki Estate in Lekki.

He said  Nwankwo had stolen a Zenith Bank  Automated Teller Machine Card ‎(ATM) belonging to Martins and had used it to withdraw the sum of N22,000. Agboko‎ also alleged that Martins in return, committed gross indecency with the teenager by engaging in acts of sodomy. 

“The accused were caught having anal sex and upon interrogation, Nwankwo explained that Martins, had forced him to have sex with him because he took his ATM and withdrew the sum of N22,000.” According to the prosecutor, Nwankwo had promised to pay him back the money when he received his salary, but Martins said he could forgo repayment if Nwankwo agreed to engage in anal sex with him. 

The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 136 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011. The duo  pleaded not guilty. The court denied them bail as the magistrate said only the High Court  could grant them bail. The Magistrate, Mrs O. A. Ogunbowale, adjourned the case to Nov. 11 for legal advice from the office of the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
